Fort Gloom Update

Hello survivors!

We are about to surpass day 200 in our ongoing efforts to make it through these dark and dangerous times.  Fort Gloom continues to stand strong against the waves of the dead and we have the hard work of ourselves, the survivors, to thank for that.  So let me take a moment to thank our scavengers and our resource collectors as well as our builders for their tireless efforts.

Scattered reports are coming from distant fortifications of new types of undead, the most terrifying of which is one that stands at nearly 12 feet tall with massive bone protrusions.  Please do not panic or let these rumors get to you!  Our scavengers have travelled great distances and have seen nothing out of what we have already encountered.

Stay vigilant and stick to caution.  Getting comfortable could mean the end of everything.  Fort Gloom is a respite and if there are new threats out there we will rise above them.

We continue to thrive.  We continue to survive.

Helpful Scavenger Strategy

Good afternoon survivors!

Are you a scavenger that likes to loot settlements or cities?  Do you get frustrated at those pesky settlement hordes which seem to be endless in number?  Well I have the solution for you!  It involves a bit of running, a rocket launcher with respective ammo, and a lot of courage; especially at night.  Enjoy the clip of this strategy in action!

Of course, this is not a fool proof strategy.  Zombie Bears, Zombie Dogs, Ferals, or Zombie Cops can disrupt you because of their speed and or ranged attacks.  Deal with the bigger threats first or just check the next settlement.

Survive on friends.

Fort Gloom's Christening Night

Good evening Survivors!

I wanted to share our first Horde Night at Fort Gloom!  Please enjoy the video.  It is funny to note that Adrean thinks concrete blocks look like crackers, which, is pretty true.  Let's all take a moment to be thankful that Fort Gloom isn't ACTUALLY made of crackers.

Fort Gloom First Horde Night

That was day 70.  Now, at post 100 days, Fort Gloom can withstand a Horde Night by itself! (as long as no spitting cop zombies are present.)

To our continued survival.

Day 105 Horde Night Looms

Greetings Survivors!

Day 105 Horde Night is about to be upon us.  We will probably "shoot" for completing it 1/23/2017 late afternoon.

Ammo status: Moderate.  Plenty of feathers however so feel free to make arrows and/or crossbow bolts.  Conserve gun ammo if possible.

Food Status: Plenty!  Our food situation is looking amazing with our sustainable garden in full swing.  Happy eating!

Scavengers and scouts please be on the lookout for CAVES. They appear to be very rare but contain rare deposits like oil shale which we will need to make roads.

If you're feeling up to it we also need sand for making more concrete.

We continue to survive.  We continue to thrive.
